lost orange tabby ~ Guelph
Hi
My daughter, who lives in Guelph was minding my cat while we were away on vacation. The day before he (Charlie) was to come home someone opened the door and let him out. This happened on April 20th and I am beginning to give up hope of finding him. He is microchipped and fixed. He is 2 years old and is missed very much. Does anyone have any advise for me? I have put posters around town and advertised in the local papers. The Guelph humane society knows me from phoning all the time. He is missed dearly. He is long and lean with a freckle on his lower lip. |

Hi, cindys. Welcome to the board. Sorry it's under such trying circumstances, though.
If you haven't seen it, yet, there are some very good tips in this thread: Tips to help find your lost cat I hope you and Charlie are reunited soon!

If you can put his litterbox and/or a worn but unwashed t shirt or pair of smelly shoes of yours out on the deck this may help lead him home
Go around the neighbourhood at dusk/dawn calling him, rattling a treat container or tap a spoon on his dish or tin of food. Bring a flashlight to pick up the shine off his eyes from under cars/decks/bushes or up trees. If you can poster the neighbourhood, plus leave one w/ local businesses, schools, pet supply stores, grocery stores, bus stops, vets & all animal shelters in the area that will help garner attention that this kitty has a home who wants him back Please visit the animal shelters in person often times the shelters are understaffed/over worked with so many animals/requests etc they may not have the time to personally look into each phone call or an emergency/something comes up in the meantime & the request gets overlooked. Going in person means you can visit & identify the cat right away, if an animal comes in terrified it may act out of character & be labeled as sick or a feral and not be placed with the general population please ask to see these areas as well. Good luck &

Hi Cindy,
Recently a ginger and white cat has been hanging out around the sugarbush area in guelph. please take a look at the pictures on the kijiji link that we posted. this is a male cat that has been neutered and is fairly young and playful. He currently lives on our front step as we have another one year old cat and they don't get along. Please let me know if he is yours. We've called the humane society to see about getting him traced but they haven't returned my calls. If this is Charlie, he's certainly a lovely cat. http://guelph.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLarg...AdId=412227431 |

I saw ginger cat outside my house two days ago, he was running along the road. My house is on Franklin Avenue which is near Eramosa / Metcalf. I have seen him twice now, once about 2 weeks ago he was watching me put out my trash, and then about 2 nights ago.
I can't really think of any more descriptions as both times it was dusk and he was far away, I *think* he had a collar though. |

Orange and white tabby found
I found an orange and white tabby in the Paisley, Hewitt Lane area, he has been de-clawed and is not fixed, I have had him for over a month. We call him Charlie, lol! I don't have a picture but will try to get one! He has what looks like orange triangles on either side of his nose, if this sounds like your Charlie email me. He is a lovely cat but I have two other cats and he does not like them and I am sure he would love to go home!

AnimalLover72 - the original poster for this thread mentioned the cat they are missing is neutered, likely not the same cat. If you can get a picture to post you can put up a new thread in this forum
