Awww Thanks Guys

kathryn I send you snow k?

Brenda Your Quebec traiils are awesome for Quads as well

Frenchy From what I recall they are Overgrown Christmas Trees (not sure which kind) When trees are planted in rows as they are it usually means it used to be a tree farm..or a windbreak

Hee, hee, I bet those are "plantation" trees. Planted by the Conservation Authority (evidently they like things nice and orderly). They actually look like red pine that have been trimmed to grow densely like that (the lower branches thinned off).

Out here trees that are skinny like that are called "pecker poles" and are used to make fence posts.

ohhh Well good to know (I know the trail is in the middle of nowhere with farms fields on 3 sides of it. (And sil had told us about the tree growing in rows = tree farm) In Summer It is soo beautiful & can usually find many a deer in that part of the trail.

I love the name "Pecker Poles"! Do they plant those by hand or by machine?
