Kitten with a cloudy eye

I have new kitten, an orphan I adopted a week ago. He is approximately four weeks old. He fell out of a ceiling and is skinny, but seems to be otherwise in good health. Over the past two days the right eye has become cloudy to the point of opacity and is a blueish-gray color. There is no discharge from the tear duct or residue on the eyelids or cornea. Finding a vet soon is not a realistic option because I live in the remote highlands of Rwanda. The only medicines I have are OTC's, and the antibiotics erythromicin and Ciprofloxacin. I need some solid, low-resource advice from knowledgeable cat experts. Please help.

Welcome to the site! that certainly doesnt look very good. I have sent an email to the admin person of the board to see if one of the vets that offers advice here can have a peek at your picture.

Is the kitty eating alright on its own? you may have to stimulate the kitty if its not having bowl movements on its own yet? Is the mom still around?

Is the injury from the fall ?

Thanks for the prompt response Winston. The cat has been pooping once a day. It drinks from a bottle and can eat a little avocado. I wanted to make sure it was healthy as possible before I weaned it, and now this.

The injury could be fall related. Unfortunately the mom ran off to get preggers again before I could track her down.

Please try to feed this cat meat as it is a carnivore, not a herbivore. Raw meat would be best along with some organs and small bird bones (all raw).
