Our dog has been eating grass,dirt and twigs and when he defecates - he is unable to pass the foreign objects - they are not digested but twisted and sometimes must be pulled out physically - why is he doing this - his diet is Vet approved - he has regular excersize.

Please post more information. How old is he? What is his environment? How long has this been going on? What has your vet said? Does he seem to have any pain or discomfort?
