Is that Sid Vicious? He doesn't look vicious! I missed how SneakyPete was doing, did she get better?
The pics look great now I'll have to take some more.

Simply beautiful!! Wow - the discus! Did you raise it yourself - what size is it now??
You've got some of my faves - hachet fish, angels, corys and what kind of cichlid is that? An acara of some sort? I adore South American cichlids!

The photo itself of the hachet fish is stunning.

Hi All!
Ty for the comments.
Colleen - Sneakypete seems to be getting better. I am hopeful.
She is remaining upright. That angel is her and sid vicious' daughter Rosy.
Only baby ive managed to raise up to maturity. Rosy will be 1 year old on feb 12th

Lucky - The discus I got about 1 year ago. I have a breeding pair, thats the mommy you can see in the pic. The dad is a little brighter blue, mom is a little darker. They are both about 5-6 inches across. They are quite large.
I dont think they will get much bigger around, just thicker now.
Ty for the comment on the hatchetfish photo - i think it is one of my best.
I used to have 12 hatchets, but lost them all suddenly after I moved. They are super sensitive. I hope to try them again some day.

The Cichlid is a Bolivian Ram. I have 5 of them in my tank, 2 males and 3 females. They are awesome fish, one of my faves!
They are about 3-4 inches depending on gender right now, some have some more to grow. The one in the pic is one of the low ranking Females. You should see the Alpha Female shes gorgeous.
I will find a pic.

Did you breed those angels yourself? I had a breeding pair of angels, and a pair of very large and gorgeous Gold Severums, but they always ate the eggs and I didn't care to incubate them artificially.

We'd never find those around here.

The babies I bred myself yup.
The 2 large ones Sneaky Pete and Sid Vicious
I did not breed - i bought them as adults and they
paired up.
In the first set of pics I showed the pic at the bottom
of the angel with the rosy cheeks, is their daughter.
The little ones I raised. I lost all but 4, then lost 3 of them
due to a tank leak at about 3 months of age.
Rosy survived and is 1 year this feb.
I do breed and raise the fry myself. My local pet store
pays me 150 dollars for 100 pea size fry.
It only costs about 25$ to raise them to that point, so
it is indeed a profit.

You should be able to get Bolivian Rams where you are.
They are the second most common cichlid sold in north america.
Even Petsmart / Petcetera sell them.
Petcetera though lists them as "Ruby Crown Cichlids".
I bought 4 of my 5 at Petcetera.
