my hamster is ill,,

my hamster is 2 years old this june , and she isnt well at the mo , her eyes are sticky and she is very wobbly on her feet and doesnt want to come out of her house at all,, she has been eating a little, but drinking an awful lot,,i had to clean her eyes out with damp cotton wool today,, do you think she has a cold, or should i take her to the vet,,, i have cleaned out her cage today and given her nice clean fluffy bedding and gave her a wash,, but she is so down she just wants to be cuddled,, wot is wrong with her,, its so upsetting to see her like this,,, as she usually runs around in her ball and all over the place,, i am very worried please help,,, thanxs teri xxxxxxxxx
