BC Pitbull Attack :(

http://www.montrealgazette.com/life/...461/story.html

this doesn't have a negative effect on pitbulls (and dogs who look like them) in BC, and end up with another province with BSL...

I think what all owners need to know, is that if you don't plan on keeping your dog in your house and making him part of the family, don't get one!!!

ok, I totally agree with you! But what gets to me most, is how many kids have been at the hospital with bites from their poodle lab, shi, woodlewhatchawhatevers.. in the mean time? We only hear about it when it is one of the breeds people are bent on demonizing!

"usually kept on a chain outside the family’s house.", so they keep the dog restrained all day, full of energy, then they let him loose in the house with a kid who would most likely want to play with him and pull on his ears and what not...

People surprise me everyday

Paradis said he “should’ve known better” than to leave the pit bull with his child.

“I can’t say it’s the dog’s fault . . . I should’ve never let my son out of my eyes.”

Father is a moron...Poor dog... poor kid

In addition to the attack on the preschooler, an RCMP officer was attacked. Different dog.

Surrey RCMP Insp. Steve Wade said the B.C. SPCA now is dealing with the dog incident and there will not be any criminal charges stemming from the attack.

“I would say the dog is dangerous,” he said. “It should not be attacking children, or anybody.”
I would say the parents are dangerous and charges should be laid .

I wholeheartedly agree. The problem is, it's not as interesting when it's a poodle attack or a Chihuahua attack, because those dogs are small and cute and cuddly. Not like the evil mean and scary pit bulls.
