They have a taking care of them. Note the decrease in ferals due to this lady spaying and neutering these guys along with trying to adopt out the adoptable ones.

Very "smart" of the councillors to vote to allow the food dishes to stay. It's a wonder what Christmas time and voter's disapproval will do. And wonderful that she has managed to get the number down to 12.
TCR does the same thing as AVR does in Toronto. Hopefully soon their services won't be needed quite as much. I keep saying it... We need more people around to be proactive about s/n strays and ferals. Even if the ferals are released back into the "wild" at least there is one less to spread inbred diseases and numerous more kitties. I know, preaching to the choir. I'll step off my soap box now.

14+Kitties - there are good organizations that are actively doing this in Ontario. I network on occasion with one who is fabulous. Crusty guy but amazing person. Loves his kitties.
Also I 'stumbled' across a vet that also does this. Now that is a vet whose heart is in the right place. |

I have recently found out we have a vet in Grimsby who is doing the same thing here on a small scale. I wish I would have known about her before I started taking them to Toronto. But, I am forever grateful I found the TCR! They helped me s/n so many of my ferals last year. I will continue to use them for any other ferals/strays that come my way. There is also a few vets in St Catharines that do low cost s/n. The only thing is they keep their good work on the downlow for the most part. We need to have tons more to help out in order to ever start solving the problem of the cat population.

Very cool to see the town rethink what it did and make things right.
