Question Kitten is sneezing

Hi everyone,

I was quite pleased to find this board & hopefully I can get a wee bit of input for my kittys problem.

My little grey tabby (Trouble) is aproximately 6 months old. He was just neutered on Wednesday, 6 days ago. He seemed to be recovering just fine but last night he started to sneeze. I wasn't too concerned at first but this morning he is still sneezing. It's not constantly but I've never had this problem with a cat before & I'm wondering if it's something I need to be concerned about? Could it be just a cold he picked up at the vets or something? He is a strictly indoor cat and doesn't have contact with other animals. He is normally so rambunctious and always into something, hence the name Trouble. He's not really acting sick just a bit more laid back than normal, so I hate to run off to the vet like a crazy lady for nothing.

Do cats get colds like we do, or should I be worried?

Thanks so much. This is great resource you have going here.

Hi there, anytime a pet goes in for surgery and comes back sneezy, it's time to head back to the vet. It's possible he picked up anything from a respiratory infection to bordatella - both your vet can diagnose quickly and treat. You're not crazy by any stretch, so please take him back in with your head held high Keep us posted on how he fares and welcome to the board

Thanks for your reply. I took your advice & went back to the vet. Trouble is now on a two week regimine of antibiotics. I'm glad I didn't wait till it got worse.

Thanks

Just read your post now and hope your kitty is now on the road to recovery.

BTW, welcome to the forum, and we would love to see pics of Trouble.
