Ooppss forgot to intro myself.

Hi all... I am known as rotts4ever ( my rescue and website) but my name is Gail.
I am a mom of a sweet 22 yr old daughter and of course a trucker hubby. I do rescue / foster / adoption and work with special needs kids ( love my job). I fight BSL and help transport / foster pittie type dogs from Ontario.

I am owned by 3 dogs ( one is a foster) and one cat. Plus my Angel dog and cats.
Neely ( RIP)

Daisy

Bullet

Drifter ( foster)

Squeak

Figaro ( RIP )

Dal (RIP )

Kitt ( RIP)

I have had many many fosters and successfully adopted them out

So that's me in a nushell.

Hi rotts. I don't know. I think Drifter is settling right in with you. He sure looks comfy and very happy.
I have a Squeak too. Also tabby striped but no orange. She has more reddish colours in her.
Thank you and your hubby so much for the work you do with all of these needy dogs. I greatly admire people who do what you do!
Welcome.

Welcome to the board "officially", rotts4ever... You have a beautiful fur family and I must say I agree with 14+: Drifter looks like he's fitting in quite well!

Thanks everyone. You guys are so nice. It truely is refreshing

Yes the lil guy is settling in.. oh heck. What am I saying... he owns us
He will be up for adoption soon though We really can't keep him. It just isn't fair to the others to have a full time newbie. I couldn't take in any others who need me if we kept him.
He will have the best home though. I settle for no less. I keep in touch with the adopters to make sure everything is ok and if any help is needed for as long as the dog / cat is alive. I also make sure that my name is on the micro-chip along with the new owner. That way if something happens ( God forbid) I will be contacted if AC / shelter / rescue / vet has contact with him.

He is a sweety. I will miss him terribly when he is gone. My daughter has become very attched to him.

You have more strength than I do.

We had 7, so fostering should have been a no-risk-of-adoption sort of deal, right? I mean, 7 was plenty. That's why we agreed to foster Grace...and why we now have 8.

lol if I kept every one of them... no farm would be big enough Besides, I pick ppl who will always keep in touch with pics etc. It does help alot. Alot of time if they are close, we have play dates or if they are away somewhere, we do go visit. Not to check up but just a visit. It is just as much for my dogs as that one. They do get use to each other and do miss each other.

It isn't easy by no means and tears are shed.. both for saddeness and joy.

We wouldn't do that and YOU have never failed as a foster mom either .

I could keep all my fosters if I could, but there wouldn't be room for more if I did that

You guys couldn't pressure me as much as I pressure myself most times.

When I stop fostering then I will keep more then 2 dogs for myself at a time. Until then I have to to keep from keeping more so I can't take fosters.

Our Squeaky is a dumpster kitten. My hubby found her in a bad rainstorm in a dumpster. She almost drowned. He went to the store for pop and came back with a kitten She is a great cat.
