maryann I'm sorry your dog is not feeling well and I know how it is not having alot of money but an 11 year old not that has not eaten for a week needs to see the vet. Your dog should have full blood & urine work done to see what the whole picture of their health shows.

There are organizations that can assist with vet bills

http://www.imom.org/
http://www.petcard.ca/

Many vet clinics will allow their clients to pay half now & make another payment a month or so later.

let us know what the vet says
