Jan,they are just stunning, your camera shows the colors better than mine, also I usually get only one or 2 blooms at a time.
The reddish one with all the blooms is beautiful
I see your poppy-thingys in the back-ground,mine have wilted long ago..

Thanks, Chico2 - I do enjoy lillies and am adding more all the time! I threw my poppy seeds out on weekly intervals so I still have some blooming!

Gorgeous! All I have are the orange day lilies. I'd invest in some asian lilies, but I'm not sure they're non-toxic to dogs. Grace loves to eat my garden , so I'm careful about what goes in it....

I can relate to that - I had a "Harry Lauder Walking Stick" - its a tree that grows all gnarled and twisty - except Amber ate some of it and got sick! Much as dearly wanted that tree, it went to the next garden club sale!

Yikes Jan M they are gorgeous. Want to share your secret on what to do to get so many blooms per stem. When I get happy with three of four and now I see yours, woe is me. My Tiger Lillies are the only ones that I get more flowers on.

jan,Chris I planted my lillies in a corner where nothing else grew,a few are the wild Tiger-Lillies that I just transplanted and others are bulbs I bought at Costco.

I'm beginning to think they will grow just about anywhere, under any conditions. I have some under the branches of my Red Cedar tree and they bloom their little hearts out. Not much does well there because of the very high acidic soil level and the tree blocks some sun and most rain. The Oriental Poppies, Lillies and a very few other plants seem to do ok there..
