A problem with an older dog

Hello!
Here is the thing.
We are talking about an older dog, a Pekingese about 10-15 years of age. Recently, she started having a problem. After activity (e. g. going outside and then coming back) she breaths fast and squeals. She has been taken to vets for tests, but they turned out negative (they found no problems in her body by the biological tests). What do you think is the cause of this, and what would you advise?
