Fish oil!
I know, there have been many threads about the good old fish oil
But this time I have a question. Recently I've been dealing with a fungus infection and besides the treatment I've read that is good to boos the immune system and fish oil is good for that, however, at the moment I'm staying in a small city in Mexico and of course there is fish oil in the pharmacy but not even in my wildest dreams there is fish oil specialized for cats, only for humans. (Probably in main cities only if any) Anyway I went and bought fish oil in capsules for human consumption and these are the ingredients: Energy: 65,02 Proteine: 0.50 Fats: Polyunsaturated: 450.00 mg Saturated: 443.00 mg Monounsaturated: 280.00 Cholesterol: 10.00 mg Fatty Acid Trans: 0.00mg Carbohydrates: 0.06 g Sugar: 0.01g Sodium: 6.00 mg EPA 270.00 mg DHA 180 mg My only 2 concerns are the following: It doesn't say it has any added vitamins such as E commonly added to these oils and I actually want it NOT to have it since it accumulates in the organism and although they can consume it it can't be for longer that 10 days. I guess if it doesn't say that has vitamin E added it doesn't have it and it would be for the best I think. And my other concern is how much to give them. (4 month kitten and an 8 year old) As I said it comes in capsules. I want to be very sure of what I'm doing before doing it. I'd appreciate any insight on this. I'm going to beat this fungus oh yes I will!
