questions

I have a 1 yr. old male yorkie. He gets this knot or bump just under his rectum. It comes and goes, sometimes it is hard and sometimes soft. It doesn't seem to cause him any pain. Is it something for me to be concerned about?
Sincerly--Cindy

It sounds like he needs his anal glands attended to. Take him to your vet to verify and they will do the job themselves and/or teach you how to do it.

Hi, cindylou. Welcome to the board!

We'd love to see pictures of your Yorkie if you have any to share.

I agree that your dog's problem sounds like anal glands, but your vet should have a look to make sure. Even anal glands can become a big problem if they get impacted.
