Question lactating cat

My neighbors cat is currently nursing a litter of 4, and all still seem satisfied, but her belly has a very hard feeling under the tits, like the milk is caked or something. I never seen this before. Any ideas on what it is, or how to remedy this. The hardness just came up overnight.

You are right. This one is mysterious It may or may not have something to do with the pregnancy.

Could it be a hernia or a swelling from some injury that happened overnight.

I'd give it a day or so and see if it goes away. If not then give it a rub and see if the cat reacts in pain. Best solution though is of course a vet visit.

Good luck
