Winter pics of my kitties

Here are some winter pics of my kitties. Sans Puddles, of course, because she doesn't "do winter"

After Sweet Pea's horrific winter being a stray, she is not fond of winter at all. She likes the walls of my garden cleared of snow so her paws don't touch it.

Had to take this from the basement window. Rose up close and personal with the wild turkeys that visit the bird feeders. . She thought she had died and gone to heaven. There were only about 2 feet away from her. She stayed in that position for quite a while, not moving a muscle.

And now for my not so domesticated pets

OK, this is not the quality of hazel's pics, but I just love the chickadees and I have a special feeder in some dense brush and they come to as soon as they see me so I thought I would take some pics.

A pic I took from inside of two mommas and their fawns eating out of the "rare woodpecker's" feeder, cause, ummmm, I wouldn't feed the deer

Can I just say I don't know where you live but you need to open a bed and breakfast...I love all the wildlife around you. Of course you don't feed the deer...that is illegal

Secondly, you don't post nearly enough pics of the kitties. I had forgotten how gorgeous they all are

I so wish Ziggy were more reliable so I could let him out...your pics and 14+ and Chico's this weekend were all just so beautiful.

Hope they get to enjoy more again today!

Thank you!!!!
Rose reminds me so much of Tinka with her big eyes. Always looks like she's surprised. Remember her butterfly bush has to be cut right back in the spring so it grows well. Jasper is a handsome handsome boy. And Sweetpea - love her colours.
Man, those are big woodpeckers you grow there!!!!

I love Rose's huge eyes...she looks so thrilled...actually looks like she was planning on getting herself one of those big fat turkeys... I will have to ask my cousin if she was an avid hunter back home in the factory.
I know some of her family members are still there sharing their space with a fox.

Don't worry my cousin keeps the fox well fed and has not bothered the last two cats who just refuse to get caught.

Those rare ground-feeding woodpeckers really do require special feeders--or they'll become even rarer and die out! So it's a good thing you have a few of those feeders! And since the seed is going down, well you know the feeders are doing their job helping out with an endangered species!

You know how much I love Uncle Jasper and I love Rose with the turkeys (even our guys, who are much bigger, are impressed by the size of turkeys) but the shot I love the most is Sweet Pea on the wall! That is one purrdy shot, L4H!

So nice to see pics of your gorgeous kitties again. And, love the wildlife shots too .....you are so lucky to be able to get pics.

Since we have so very few rare woodpeckers here anymore please give yours a few extra handfuls from me.

I wish my Wood-Peckers were that bigit must be soo nice to have them in your yard, you're so lucky.
Is there a fence between Rose and the Turkeys??

Today,Vinnie ducked right down flat when a Hawk flew over us,it was so funny

Yup, I think she was planning to get one of them . Please let your cousin know that Rose is a gift from heaven and is so very loved.

It's all that global warming that is causing a change in species . Darn that global warming. Actually there is a rare woodpecker that comes to feed on the ummmmmm, molasses covered corn, oats and barley bird feed . It is smaller than a Pileated, but bigger than a Hairy. It has a red head and the breast looks like the colour of a female cardinal.

We have a flock?? of three toms that come to visit the bird feeders too. Last year I don't recall seeing any hens and their babies either.

Yes, Rose always has that innocent, wide eyed, kitten look, she is just adorable. Yes Rose is always fenced in. The only way should would be able to get one of those turkeys is if they flew into her pen.

Today,Vinnie ducked right down flat when a Hawk flew over us,it was so funny
Could the hawk have picked him up . I would have been screaming .

Thank you everybody for you very kind comments.

L4H great pics! It's wonderful to see your kitties again. And those turkeys look huge!!

We don't have any of those rare woodpeckers up here, just the regular kind. I'm glad your helping them during the winter.
