Nemo and a few other baby koi pics

Bad pics, but the best I can do with the little monsters at the moment.
Nemo is Orange and Black. Spot is white with black, Gidget is a mom look alike. Ditto (no pics yet), is a smaller version of Gidget.

Nemo first, then Nemo and Spot, and finally Nemo, Spot, Jughead and Veronica. They're swimming with the big fish now. Haven't started to come up to feed with them yet, but they will be soon.

They look so little compared to Jughead and Veronica! So cute!

Is it safe now for them to swim with the big guys? I'd be afraid that someone might have a taste for sushi!

Yep, it's safe. Once they start to look like fish, the koi don't have any interest in eating them, which is why you can end up with a seriously overstocked pond if you're not careful.

Yes, the bigger they are the more money they want for them. Makes no sense to me as they grow really fast anyway. Midge and Moose were the biggest ones I bought in April, not high end koi or anything and they still were $150.00 each.

Cute little beggars, aren't they? What happens when you get too many? Do you try selling them?

No, I wouldn't sell them. I'd contact local pond clubs and see if they had any members who wanted some koi first. Koi with colour aren't hard to find homes for, the plain brown and black ones that a lot of people get from their spawns are much harder to find homes for.
