[I][I]Hello -
I am a new member to this site. I have 2 lovely Newfoundlands. Well, actually I have 1-1/2??? My 1/2 Newf is a Rescue Dog from the SPCA in St. John's, Nfld. Her dad was a beautiful big black Newf....but her mom was a "we don't know". She took after her mom....but we still love her to death. Her name is Misty and we were so lucky to get her when she was only 8 weeks old.
Our big black boy's name is Alex and he came to us from the USA. A breeder friend was looking for a 'good home' for him 'cause she didn't consider him as 'good show material' - personally, I think he looks wonderful...lol....we got him when he was almost 2 years old.
Misty will be 7 this year and Alex will be 5.

Welcome to the board, we definately would love to see some pictures of your fur babies. There are few Newf owners on here. But a vast majority of us love Newfs!

Hi, newfydog, and welcome to the forum. Yep, pictures are definitely in order! All new members are required to post pics or the rest of us send our dogs over to slobber you up and lick you into submission! Okay...so maybe that required bit is a little overstated...and maybe you wouldn't get so slobbery...but we really are fans of furrbabies and would really love to see pics of your newfs!

Welcome to pets.ca ! One of my gang is a Newf Border Collie. He looks like a humungous Border Collie but has the goofy-loving personality of a Newf.
