How can someone just move and leave an animal?? this just belys belief. cali is like my child I couldnt imagine going anywhere and leaving her! Im even going to the trouble of getting her a pet passport should she ever need it seeing as mommy is international!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with July. I hope she pulls through

Actually, I had written a lot of **** with the first and last letter (example: Fink was written "******". LR edited out all the references - it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what was being insinuated.). It's OK though - they left the main parts of my post intact.

July Has Passed On

This morning, July was not as responsive as yesterday and there was a lot of urine in her litter box (like she lost all the fluids I had pumped into her yesterday). She also smelled very bad (I remember that smell from little ones we lost to panleucapenia). I hydrated her anyways and noticed that her skin was so tightly attached to her skeleton, it was almost impossible to slip the needle underneath. I think her temperature had also dropped, as she felt very cold.

I left her for about 2-1/2 hours as I had a business meeting to attend. When I came home at 3:00, she was gone.

Farewell, my sweet July. May you play happily beyond the rainbow bridge (and may your owner rot in hell).

(Please, no recriminations about not getting her to the DMV on Saturday night - I did the best I could with what I had, along with help from my vet. At least she died in a safe and peaceful place with no threats around her.)

Right now, I am still crying for the poor little soul and inside, I am raging at the *#&%!!**! who is responsible for what she had to endure.

I do thank those who offered kind words and support (lots of pm's) since this ordeal began on Saturday night. I don't think anyone or any amount of money could have saved her, she was too far gone. Maybe it was pompous of me to think I could have helped, maybe it would have been kinder to have put her to sleep; maye if ..... if only ......

Poor kitty. RIP July. And many hugs to you, SOS, for giving her a chance.. for the hours of work and worry.. and for loving this little lonely soul in her last days. Take care of yourself.

I am so sorry!!! I don't think you should blame yourself SOS - you did what you could and I must say I too had a bad feeling about her outcome. It makes me sad and angry!
