why cant we all just get along?!
So we're back in the UK and the cats are happily living in my bedroom and going out at nighttime to inspect the house while the others are asleep.
The met Hugo (the dog) and lola ran and poppy didnt do much buffy the cat is too old to really care *problem* Zena who is the other Calico in the house came into meet them and started wailing and spitting at lola so in the end she ran back out, there was no physical fighting just hissing.. was it too soon (its been 3-4 days!)

Yes, much much too soon. For older cats especially.
This is a terrific site to read and learn how to have cats living peacefully. http://www.squidoo.com/multi-cat-management It has tons of great information. Kind of like an "all in one" site!

Slow and steady wins the race. Sometimes....
At 15 it is possible they will never accept but will "put up with" the invaders presence. It should take somewhere between a week to 5 or 6 months for a proper introduction to take place but all cats are different. There really is no telling. Ideally you should be doing the "sniffing each other out under the door", exchanging bedding material, exchanging rooms, etc... in order for any chance of a peaceful environment. Some cats are very accepting of other cats invading their territory. That doesn't happen often.

Never thought about that one for you Frenchy. Sorry. You can really use it now too. I ran across it a while back. She gives some excellent advise. The best part is she lives it! She's not just one of these people who write about it.

there is not issue when they are sniffing through the door etc.... its only 1 who is bothered.... but shes a diva at the best of times!
We're getting a mesh gate build so they can look at each other .... cos noone reacts to sniffing!
