Yeah yeah, I'm not new, but it's about time I finally introduced myself.
Hello everyone! I live in Montreal (originally from Calgary) I adopted a beautiful yellow lab/whippet/something/something/a whole lotta other somethings mix a year and a week ago. Her name is Layla, and she is my little darling! I stumbled upon this site when I was trying to find out about puppy shots and licenses, and somehow managed to last 5 months before becoming addicted to this site!
Here is a pic of her |

Yeah it was a cheap move to get a pic in their, but I never did post a "I'm new here" post, so... since it's been a year now, I thought it would be appropriate!
Prin, do you have any dogs? if so, do you have any pics of them? |

LOL You didn't post more pics! More! There certainly are not enough pics of Layla.
Do it now, or I'll send one of my VICIOUS doggies to your house... Guess which one? Nope, you guessed wrong. |

When people meet Layla, they can't believe how much energy she has, the fact that almost every picture I have is of her sleeping, explains a lot

I always thought that pink pads were like doggy blue blood. Pink pads just aren't made for working dogs' feet.
I think we need a pic of Boo and Layla side by side so we can get an idea of the size difference. Layla is pretty tiny, isn't she? |

24" up to her shoulder? That's not bad. Aren't "real" labs about that? I thought she was much smaller than that.

oops I lied, I just found the sheet I had written her measurements on, shes 24 inches long, shes 20 inches tall, to the base of her neck

okayyyy. That's exactly how tiny I thought she'd be. Boo is 29 inches up to his shoulder last time I measured him.

Yeah, the thing I miss about having a yeller lab is not seeing the white hair coming in. Jemma and Boo have little white beards already. It's hard to watch them get older so early. Jemma will be 5 next month and Boo will be 5 in May (we estimate). Why don't they make a dog that can live 70 years instead of badly bred designer dogs???

Hey, post as many pix as you like - they are al cute!!!! With that much energy, she must absolutely be part lab!! I know my brother said to me before I took my fav choc lab for a walk, "now be careful, she can drag you down!". I am rather dimutive - just barely 100 lbs and 5 ft so he was referring to that I guess and I thought, hey I am used to dogs, hmmmffff!! About a half hour later, I was back at the house searching for bandaids and betadine - my lovable energetic lab having draged me down- but I foolishly wore shorts - famous last words. Now "we" are more careful and I have trained him to be less ehuberant when walking with his challanged auntie, lol
