Toronto vet recommendations

So, in light of some recent events with our current vet (we don't really see eye to eye), I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for another Toronto vet. Obviously, it's probably best to PM any recommendations (or suggestions of whom to avoid). Truly, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was close to impossible, I am looking for a vet who will actually discuss options about my pets care/issues without worrying so much about their almighty wallet, a vet who can give suggestions and is willing to provide explanations and alternatives.

Also, I've been looking into a holistic vet, and was wondering if there are any in Toronto. I haven't heard of any, but then again, I've never really looked.

Not being from Toronto, I can't vouch for the following, but here are a few holistic vets I found at this link: http://www.holisticvetlist.com/#search

http://www.mytcmvet.com/
http://www.holisticvetmed.ca/
http://www.holisticpetvet.com/

And some more: http://www.acreaturecomfort.com/holi...erinarians.htm

Another option might be to go to a feline-only practitioner. These are the 2 I found listed on the American Association of Feline Practitioners website:

Dr. Robert Kenn
Morningside Animal Clinic
4560 Kingston Road
Toronto, ON M1E 2P2
Canada
Phone: (416) 284-9205

Dr. Robert Wong-Pack
Scarborough Animal Hospital
2334 Kingston Road
Toronto, ON M1N 1V2
Canada
Phone: (416) 261-1391

And lastly, some tips on how to choose a veterinarian:

I was reading the Toronto Star a few weeks ago and one of the columnists was writing about her Vet (she has three cats) and had nothing but praise for her. Her name is Dr. Gaby Herman and she is a cat specific Vet.

Mobile Vet

Hi Mogsmom,

I live in Oakville and found a mobile vet that practices Homotoxicology. the website is www.burgessvet.com and the vet's name is Lisa Burgess. I have used her now for the second time and each person I recommend her too is pleased.

Worth a try, but not sure if she goes all the way into T.O. She is based in Millgrove, so about 40-mins west of Oakville.

Good luck!
