Squamous Papilloma
Hi there,
My american bulldog pup, (9mths old) was diagnosed with a rare form of squamous papillomas which grew between her toes on her right hind paw. These were surgically removed and sent for analysis, hence the diagnosis. They said that it normally will disappear on this own. That being said, I've been looking for information on this particular form of Papillomas but I'm just finding facts on papillomas in general and not that particular strain. If you've had experience with this, or if you know if it, would you mind posting info so that I can better educate myself on this virus? What I'm looking for specifically is if in contact with other dogs, how long will it take for the other dog to fully contract this virus and for it to appear on the skin? and also how long will it take for the virus to run its course? Of course all other info will be greatly appreciated as well. We have 4 dogs and I definitely don't want the other 3 to be infected by this Thanks a bunch |

Some viruses are less contagious than others--did your vet think it likely that the other dogs would contract it?
