Lest We Forget - Rememberance Day

Today, November 11, is Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans' Day in the US. We remember all those men, women and many dogs, who sacrificed their lives for us to provide freedom.

152 Canadian soldiers have died in Afghanistan.

Let us never forget them and all the others before or after.

Thank you everyone,wonderfully said.
Although our Canadian men and women are fighting a very different war today, the pain of losing so many young soldiers and the many who return home with terrible injuries,is the same...and yes,we should never forget

Well said everyone .....so many soldiers gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedom that we do today and people need to help the younger generations realize this.

Lest we forget

Thank you for posting those pics, Chris. Dogs do play a role and I am sure they have given these poor soldiers some very important emotional support as they are living in the hell of war.

I guess this is a fitting place to post a link to a documentary we saw last night. It was pretty difficult to watch but made it so much more personal. We Will Remember Them http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/doczone/video.html

And a special tribute to those Canadians who have lost their lives in Afghanistan. If you click on each picture, there's a story told about the fallen heroes by family and friends. http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/docz...ibute/#gallery
