I'm fighting it!!

Hey there.... Long time not been on here, and what do I see, my name... The picture sucks but the dog looks good!!

I am fighting this with the City, Barnotti from the SPCA is helping me. He is appalled, as he has NEVER given a dog tag to a "foster" family.

So you'll be hearing about me some more, I'm sure... Since the hearing, I've rescued 6 dogs. Like I'm really going to run out and get $150 worth of licenses for these dogs, 3 of them were adopted this week. The whole situation sucks big time. It's a crazy world.

I'm also losing 2 of my foster homes. If you know anyone who would like to do this, please send them my way. I need new foster homes or I will be extremely limited in what I can rescue.

take care

What about just buying a couple of licences and putting them on whatever dog you have? The info won't be right at the HQ but they won't check it...

Licenses

Thought of that, but it kind of defeats the point I'm trying to make, plus it would mean a lot of running around for me. I can have up to 6 dogs spread out at one time, who may need to move to other temp places (as we all know a lot of running around goes on with last minute rescues), and I would make sure these tags get transferred from dog to dog, from foster home to foster home, etc... I'd rather keep on fighting...

Plus, what do I do if I say get 6 tags for the year, and end up rescuing another 2? Get another 2 tags? That's $200 a year I don't have to pour into Montreal's bank account....

But thanks for the advice. By the way, you can check out the article The Suburban newspaper (West End weekly paper) wrote about this whole situation at:

It's worth reading. I'm very happy with the article, especially the very last line!
