Antifreeze?

My cat, Kat may have licked a very very tiny amount of antifreeze off an article of clothing. I could not tell for sure if she licked it or was just smelling it. I disposed of the clothing immediately. Is there any illness signs I should watch for. She is my baby.

OYE! This is not something you 'watch for signs' for, an animal ingesting even very small quantities of antifreeze can cause very serious problems and death. If the dog took in a large amount you would see signs almost instantly, so this probably did not happen, but with a small amount like your dog may have had it can cause serious kidney damage. You need to have the kidney function tested just in case. The antifreeze crystalizes in the kidneys, and can lead to kidney failure. A VERY small amount can cause damage, have the vet check your dog out.

How is your kitty doing? Luvmylab is correct it takes only a tiny bit to kill a kitty and kidney damage occurs very quickly.

Kitty seems to be ok. She is sleeping as usual during the day. She was up playing alot last night. She is eating fine and drinking water.
I think because the antifreeze had soaked into the cloathing all she could really do was smell it. I am ready to take her to the vet in a moment if needed. Thank you for the concern!

sorry, but the thing is with a small amount like your cat had, you probably will not see signs, however damage may have occured. I am being very serious when I say you need to get the cat seen and have the kidneys tested. It could be years before you see the signs of the damage.. and then it will be too late. I would have taken my cat, better safe then sorry.
