Papillon in heat, and healthy furr question
I have a papillon mix with chihuahua currently in heat, (she's not fixed and I do not need opinions on whether or not I should get her fixed) and I'm concerned about her eating, my hubby says I'm just over thinking but in the past few weeks she's lost her appetite. She's eating, but not as much as she usually does. Is this because she's in heat or is it because we've changed her food brand? (We've been testing out different food brands to see which both pup's will like).
Also, would anyone know any types of human food / dog brand that would help in keeping a dog's coat shiny? My chihuahua whose a year and a half has some small bald spots on his furr, the vet says it's due to biting the area or scratching at it, so I was just wondering if there's anything I could do just to make sure it stays healthy. I'm currently struggling with dog food because he's incredibly picky and doesn't eat much. Would soft wet food be better? (I heard it isn't because it doesn't straighten their teeth). Or would raw eggs be? (Read on some internet site, but I'm concerned due to parasites and what not). for your time, Images of the two: Saranghaeyo (Sara) : Papillon/Chihuahua currently six months old (nearly seven), http://i42.tinypic.com/1zw17km.jpg Jasper : Full breed long haired Chihuahua a year and a half, http://i40.tinypic.com/6zu00k.png http://i44.tinypic.com/xc8wg8.jpg Last edited by Ford; April 4th, 2010 at 11:39 PM. |
