Question:
My cat is 7 years old, overweight and very constipated. I have tried giving him mineral oil as prescribed by my vet but that does not work and he is in terrible pain. Please help. Cheryl Answer: Cheryl, There is a main product in homeopathy effective for constipation in obese patients, it is called GRAPHITES. The cat should receive GRAPHITES 15 CH, 3 pellets 3 times a week. And even more, this product should with time, produce a gradual weight lost. (In a few months) What would also help, is to add plum juice or a fiber supplement in the food. But be sure (consult your vet) that the cat is not developing a disease called megacolon which needs hospital care.
