Thumbs up Sick Husky

My husband and I purchased a 6 month old husky and she has been a very sick pup. Since we got her, she has had worms and constant diarrhea. We have tried several different tests, medications etc. and still no luck. At 3 this morning she soiled her crate badly, which is the second time she has done so in a month. We have talked to the breeders and they claim that she was in perfect health when they sold her to us, and has never once had diarrhea. We are perplexed and so is our vet. The next step is a bowel biopsy, and we know how much money that entails, along with discomfort for the dog. Hopefully someone has some insight for us, as we are really worried for our dog.

Thanks for any help you can give

Julie

My brothers wolf cross had a similar problem and it turned out to be the food he was feeding her.He was so careful picking the food for his dog . It was suposed to be a quality food.He had to order it and have it delivered monthly. It turned out that it was the chicken in it.
I hope this helps.

Hello, i have had similar problems with my male husky, check into the food(for sure), my male is allergic to chicken. as well i would
on top of a possible change of food, recommend trying lean ground beef and steamed rice for a few days, to clear up any problems in the tummy right now.

Some good brands

Some good brands are Wysong, Wellness and Eaglepack(they make many formulas, all free of wheat, corn, soy and use human grade ingredients)
Food is probably one of the biggest causes of digestive upsets in dogs, as so many brands use only ingredients that would never be used for human consumption, that they're frequently contaminated as well as difficult to digest.
That little extra money you'll spend on a super premium food is well worth it in the long run : ) Read the ingredients closely on the bag and if you wouldn't eat it yourself, don't feed it to your dog!
