Unhappy Sick Kitty

Hi
I have a new momma cat with five babies. The kittens are 5 days old and just today the momma moved the babies to a new location. I know this is normal, but the momma cat is acting really different. She roams the house and cries and she is panting really heavily like she is hot or something. She is a stray that showed up at our home, we have taken her in as one of our own cats and she was fine up until today. She has been with us since November 2003, its just today she really seems different. Any clues on what might have caused her change. I am taking her and the kittens to the vet tomorrow for a looksie, but I am very worried about her tonite. THANKS!!!

I"m glad you're taking this kitty to the vet! Panting and crying could be stress, but could also be something more serious.

Please keep her inside and when her kittens are weaned you can have her spayed.
