Thank you Inverness and Crytstal

and all the other good people who got together to find a solution for the Ginger Man. I'll sleep well tonight, knowing that he's going to get his shot at the good life. I'm really touched.

Now, to catch the bugger...

Well I just made a few phone calls, put a few donations together (thank you Crystal ), sent his pic to someone I know has a soft spot for rescued backstreet cats who've had a rough life and well, there you go ! We just need to get him to the vet for neutering and eye treatment and off he goes to his adoptive home ! Sounds like a happy ending !

Yes,there has been quite a few happy ending stories due to the great people on this Forum and although I am a passive member(with 3 cats)I get really excited when things work out for the best for the animals.

I wouldn't call you a passive member, chico2. After all, you're one of the best cheerleaders on this board, always with praises and words of encouragement.

Everybody does as much as they feel they can do and support and encouragement is just as important, especially when rescue seems endless and sometimes very heartbreaking.

How about a little update Badger ?

Here's Toulouse, now turned into the perfect house cat, quite content to lie on the kitchen table while we scratch his head... :king:

We've discovered that Toulouse loves hamburgers & tuna, but doesn't think much of chicken. He gets along perfectly with all the cats in our house, even starts to tolerate the dogs around him. He likes to lie right next to me when I work at the computer, although he'll still run if I get up too quickly. He has perfect house manners, but has destroyed a few window screens while practicing his bug-chasing skills. He never says a word, but is always listening. fdvc g7y (ha ! this was just him stepping on the keyboard, what a coincidence ! ) And he reaaaallly loves to headbump, especially when we're holding a glass of water. Little bugger.

Congrats Inverness! You've done quite a great job saving this little guy.
In my neighborhood, there's one feral who's starting to lose an eye and another healthy feral who is orange just like Toulouse.
Looks like you got my 2-in-1 cat!

Thought Badger would be happy to see these: some updated pics of the Ginger man, now Toulouse. His lower eyelid has sort of become a little droopy now, and I am wondering if I won't have a second surgery done to close the whole thing completely. He doesn't seem bothered by it, but I always wonder...

Anyways, here he is in his favorite spot, on the cat tree that overlooks the lake:

wow, look at that coat, he is one gorgeous boy. it is great to see he is doing so well in your loving care. I regularly pass by the place where I found him and still see him there, waiting in the snow for his grub - until he figured out where I lived and decided he was tired of take-out. thanks again for the happy ending and kisses for that sweet mug.
