Parvovirus in puppies

Just found out today that my puppy who is about 14 weeks test positive for parvo today at the vet. He is there now getting an iv treatment. This is all new to me. I am kind of scared right now for him.

I am sorry you and your pup is going through this.

If you caught this on time, the chances of survival has increased. Hang in there.

Where did you get your pup? Do you know if the rest of the litter is affected? You may want to consider telling anyone that has one of these babies the situation. You may save more lives.

yes I called the rescue place where I got him from to let them know. He just had his second vaccanation on Monday and he was fine until he got the shot. Hopefully we caught it soon enough. The vet told me to call later today to check on his progress.

Well yesterday when I called in the afternoon his bloodwork came back normal so his white blood cells were not affected. This morning when I called he hadn't vomited any and he was perky. I called around 2 hours ago and he was barking and wagging his tail. Still had the diareha but he seems to be getting better.
