Question Animal Shleter Work???

Will animal shelters let you come and volunter to help out like after work for a few hours? Or are they pretty picky about who they get to come in and help with the animals?

I don't know about Indiana, but here in Ontario they always welcome any help they can get.But be prepared for many sad dogs/cats,I imagine it can be very emotionally draining.

I guess I need to call and just see what their rules are. I know that it will be sad but I have been looking on pet finder and seeing all these pets and they look like they need love and care and I thought maybe if i could help out. I know I can not take them all (although I would love to I can't) but maybe I could go play with them and love on them. Do you work in a shelter?
