Tried this harness?

Has anyone tried this harness to combat pulling?
Not sure if it is available in my area, but someone on another forum mentioned they got one in Calgary.

Any thoughts?

I have that one for my puppy. It was recomended by our trainer, actually we bought it from our trainer. We have a really really strong puller. It has GREATLY reduced the amount she pulls, along with some other training methods. The combination has made her basicly stop pulling most of the time, unless there is something super stimulating that she wants to be part of.

Betcha I know what site that was... The behaviorist we work with at the rescue says that anything that pushes against their chest when they pull should work and I tried wrapping the leash around Soozie's chest when she pulls and it completely stops her so I would say it could work. What works for one dog though may not necessarily work with another, hence the closet full of failed training aids. The best course for stopping pulling is training. Everything else is a bandaid.

Hmm... somebody else brought this up a long time ago (probably in the fall) and people said it was good...

I haven't tried it. If a store is customer service oriented, they might let you try it out before buying it (in the store).

I have the newtrix one and I think it's great and the effects seem to last even when Boo's not wearing it- he just loses the idea that he can pull harder than I can...

Well, it seems everyone is for the product. I am going to check it out today, see if my pet store has one. They will let me try it on in the store. I bought the Lupi before, but it just seems to make ebony pull even harder.

I see on the web there is a Gentle Leader one too. Is it the same thing?

I use a harness I bought at Wal-mart called "Yuppie-puppie". I love this thing. The first one I had was given to me by our sweet dog walker who would come and walk Joey when we were away. (My mom would stay with him but couldn't give him a good walk.) This has no buckles and it's padded under the arms. I can slip the little loop for his leash through the weave in his sweater and we're good to go !

I use the Newtrix headcollar too and love it. It's also available here at the pets.ca store.
