chicken bone-not digested

My dog eats raw for about 3 years now. yesterday, after his chicken meal, i found a bone in his poop. The bone was about 5cm and it was hard and the edges weren;t soft. Does anyone has an idea about that happend? Is there a risk for a trama in the bowel?

Sounds like he might not have chewed it enough I would think for a bone that size w/sharp edges there might be a risk of injury more so if your dog is a small breed.

Was your dog calm while eating or interrupted at all causing him to gulp his food?

Was this the first time it's happened?

Perhaps the next time he has chicken adjust the bone size to ensure he is chewing fully.

Was it from a leg? I seem to remember reading somewhere that many people won't offer legs because of the quality of the leg bones. Sharper or more prone to splinter, or something along those lines... But I don't feed raw, so I'm not speaking from experience (and my memory isn't too great either )
