Meet Nala - an 8-month old cutie-pie who spent most of her life growing up in an overcrowded, dirty environment with 100 other cats. The home where she was has been reported and is under investigation. How this little darling managed to survive without catching all sorts of viruses is anyone's guess.

Nala is healthy, has been vaccinated and spayed. She is very affectionate and gets along with other cats and dogs. She is a sweet little girl who has all the characteristics of a Maine Coon.

Nala urgently needs a good home ASAP. Please contact me if you can help.

Meet Sparkey - another kitty from the same hoarder. Sparkey wasn't as lucky as Nala - examination by our vet shows that he has had ulcers on his tongue and seems to be plagued with chronic respiratory problems. Sparkey also suffered from feline acne on his chin when he came to me two weeks ago and by the way his hair is growing back on his ears, it looks like he has also had ringworm.

Sparkey was treated initially with Amoxillan for 10 days and didn't show any improvement. He is now on a second round of stronger antibiotics for another 14 days.

Sparkey's vaccination certificate shows that he was first vaccinated at the end of May at the age of 8 weeks. That would make him around 9 months old. Sparkey only weighs 5.2 lbs .....

Sparkey was probably taken from his mother too young as he looks to suckle and knead at other cats. He has been slow to thrive, but has a lot of spunk and is extremely affectionate.

Sparkey is an intelligent little fellow with a strong will to live like a nomal cat. His favorite thing to do is steal items from various rooms and bring them to you (sponges, hair clips, socks ....).

Sparkey needs to be with someone who will continue his medication for another 10 days. SOS MIOW will cover the cost at the end of the medication period to have him rechecked by our vet.
