Hi! I'm new here. I've always had animals, and have done rescue work off and on much of my life, both with wild birds and animals, and with domestic mammals.

Right now my four footed family's numbers are down to five, because I have moved to the suburbs and we no longer have the land for them to run on.

We just adopted a little girl from the local shelter. She's 11 weeks old and looks rather like a large Border Terrier. We have no idea what she is, but it doesn't matter. She's adorable, but in need of a lot of work, especially with socialization and learning to play. A friend of mine suggested that I join this forum for a few ideas and it seems to be a great place for this old dog to learn new tricks.

Welcome to the forum, MamaSue.

Zola looks like a doll! Is she your new pup? Avatars are so small, though--we'd love to see bigger pics Zola and all your babies...nudge, nudge, wink, wink (I'm pretty sure there are going to be a lot of people clamoring for pictures.)

Talking Did you say pictures?

This is our ratty wannabe, KiaKat. We purchased her around the same time we got these sister RatGirls, Martha and Vandella. This was three years ago.

Here is a photo of Vandella and KiaKat. Vandella still adores her Kia, now, even though she is elderly. Not many rats live past three and she has.

These are two of my favorite guys... my Ronnie and his Nimbus.

This is Rogue, named after one of the Xmen.

And our latest baby, Zola!

Obviously, love is good for a rat's longevity! The picture of Vandella and Kia is absolutely adorable!

Such beautiful babies, MamaSue! Thanks for sharing!
