8 week old puppy with loose stool

Hi,
I have an 8 week old Border Collie/Dachshund mix, male, named Jackson. We just got him yesterday, he's eating REALLY well and drinking lots and lots of water, also very playful, but I noticed today after taking him out that he had loose, pudding like stool. Should I be alarmed?

You don't need to be alarmed but since you just got him he needs to see a vet as he likely needs to be dewormed. Please do not buy the over-the-counter meds as they are not recommended.

As Brenda said, overfeeding will cause loose stools .....what brand are you feeding and how much per day?

Welcome to the forum and we'd love to see picks of Jackson.

Thanks. He's eating Purina puppy chow and will be going to the vets next week. I'll see how it is tomorrow and go from there, since he isn't in distress.
