Exclamation Ear Infection (Condition Unknown...Help Urgently Needed)

My Golden Retriever has a ear infection. It looks really bad and I don't know what it is and can only get her to the vet tomorrow.

Okay, here goes. Yesterday morning I noticed that my dog's ear was slightly wet near her ear flap, so I did what most people would do. I gently lifted her ear flap and there was tons of pus and blood oozing from her ear. It looked so painful I started to cry. I also cried because of the condition her ear was in. You couldn't see in her ear...not because of the pus and blood but because it was covered with something (I have no clue what it is). I did not try to remove it because I didn't want to hurt her. I don't know whether the blood is from the infection or because she has now been continually scratching it (I try to stop her whenever I can). She also sleeps often. I think she does it because it hurts or something. I have no idea whether it hurts or not because she doesn't show any signs of pain (mind you, she is usually like that), but everytime I see it I imagine all the pain she is going through now. It could also be a cause of the weather because it has been raining continously for the past few days. But it could also have occured because she is pregnant. The last time she was pregnant she had a ear infection too but not as severe as this one and it cleared up in a few days.

I need all of your help to take care of my dog, my best friend, my loyal companion. Fingers crossed for good luck!

Thank You!

Since we are not vets & do not know what is in your dog's ear we cannot diagnose the problem or give you treatment options - you say there is blood & pus - this is an emergency vet situation take her in NOW

If this happened yesterday morning why have you not taken her in already?

The best thing you can do it take your dog to the emergency vet NOW especially since she is pregnant. Since this also happened the last time she was pregnant perhaps there is some correlation there.

As soon as possible have her spayed to help prevent the over population of puppies & to stop this painful affliction from happening to her again.

for your vet visit
