Unhappy Dog eating grass, bits & pieces of litter & garbage

Hello!
We have 2 female German Short-Haired Pointers (GSP's).....one is 3 1/2 years old and the other just turned 1. They are half-sisters having had the same mother.

Our problem is that they both eat grass and bits & pieces of litter & garbage that they find on the ground while out on walks or at the Leash-Free Parks. It can be twigs & branches or bits and pieces of plastic or pieces of old tennis balls or road hockey balls, cigarette butts etc......................JUST ABOUT ANYTHING!!!!!

They both get fed twice a day (a mixture of dry & canned IAMS dog food).........in the morning and at dinner time and get dog biscuits several times a day as well. Therefore, it is hard to believe that this aberrant behaviour of eating grass & bits of garbage can be due to something lacking in their diet.

The younger dog is worse at doing this but they both do it to some degree.

Any suggestions??????????:( :( :(
