More food recalls to come
I hope you are right. I am feeding Canidae. I copy/pasted this from their web site.
Industry Can Recall In light of the unfortunate current pet food recall by other respectable pet food manufacturers, our phone lines and emails are tied up with concerned customers. We want you, our valued customer, to feel secure with the continued use of our products. CANIDAEŽ Pet Foods in no way is affected by the recall, nor are any of our products produced in any of the recalled production facilities. It appears from the latest news within our industry that all recalls are from Glutens imported from China, a protein source that is extracted from Wheat or Rice. The wheat or rice is not the issue, but the glutens extracted, stored, and then imported from China. Again, CANIDAE does not use Glutens in any form, and we do not import any ingredients from China or overseas. |

do you have any idea which foods will be recalled? it helps to not switch to something today that will be unsafe tomorrow.

I've just switched Tucker to Solid Gold from Canidae and neither one have gluten in them thank god, mind you he only eats hard food, it is really getting scary.

AS I just wrote to Tommy's home, I just esp waiting for "and the next food to be taken off the market is ____________". I am feeding home cooked with the advice of nutritionists and vets and others but Gawd, this is so frustrating! I kinda wish I had started this before all this so I would be less stressed in doing so or feel so angry - and could do it with more time and information to research. Because it IS interesting - but add these circumstances and one feels under pressure to do so - which is not good!
Onward though....my kitties need to eat good nutritious food!!

Ummm. Normally I wouldnt be worried, however everyone here has been eating Orijen while they were boarded.
I really dont have the mental ability or patience right now to wait for their site to load up and the bag is gone.... Is Orijen safe??????

Is the recall still focusing on the gravy canned foods... I've been out of the loop a bit, I think.

1. The Pet Food List, run by the folks at PetsitUSA, is tracking the brands NOT under recall. http://www.thepetfoodlist.com/ 2. The Pet Food Tracker is listing those that HAVE been recalled. This is important to check, because the official FDA site has been slow to report. http://petfoodtracker.blogspot.com/ Also: www.petconnection.com www.itchmo.com |

What about Merrick? Are they safe?
I've been adding their cans (usually Wilderness Blend and Wild Buffalo Grill, also the cat canned New England Boil) to the Innova Evo. |

I figured more were coming, it's a terrible feeling like waiting for an AX to drop.
I am already using Canidae wet the dogs adore it and i am changing over to their dry which they also loved I also have merrick for the dogs, wet and dry.. i think they are ok? I also hope wellness is ok, it seems only two things from them have RPC some treats or something? IIRC.. i am using the indoor cat kibble since my venison was recalled and i knew copper liked it already, it only contains rice.
