Unhappy Hello Woodbridge

I was so relieved to find this website. My husband and I just moved here from the states. My 12-year old male maltese, Chamois, is not adjusting well to the move. He ran away this morning at 4 a.m. after burrowing under a fence after my husband let him out to do his "business". I am heartbroken that my little guy is out there in the cold, far away from his old home in Ohio.

All over and everywhere in-between

That is where I have looked for Chamois. I called the Animal Control, and spent hours outside looking for him. Today I will put up posters at the local market and pet store, and on telephone poles in the neighborhood. Chamois is a Benji-cut maltese-not much protection from the cold. If someone has not taken him in, I can only hope that he laid down for a final rest and simply "fell to sleep". Thanks for your concern.

You can also look outside the area, just incase he's trying to find his way home. Could he be following a scent? I really hope you find him. Is he a dog that could walk up to a stranger? I wish you so much luck.

Sorry to hear that you lost your doggy. I hope you find him soon, keep us updated. Get neighbours to check their yards could be hiding somewhere if he is scared.

Home Again!

I went to the mailbox this a.m. to mail some letters before heading to the gym. Posted on the mailbox was a big sign "Have you lost your dog?" with a description of little Chamois, and a phone number to reach Amanda, a young mom who found Chamois 1 1/2 blocks from me in her neighbor's backyard at 4 a.m. I immediately called her, and went to get Chamois. What a wonderful young woman she is! She even took Chamois to the vet to see if he had a microchip! I am so thankful there are animal lovers like Amanda out there who have great love for all creatures. Amanda has a 3-month old baby and three-year old boy, and 3 dogs! Thank you, thank you, thank you. And you better believe Chamois is getting a tag with a phone number on it. And, I got to meet a new friend in the neighborhood. Thanks to all who posted replies about my lost doggie.
