Super Crunchy Peanut Butter Cookies Like "Northern Biscuits"
My dogs LOVE the peanut butter flavoured "northern Biscuits. Does anyone have a recipe for a super crunchy biscuit that tastes like peanut butter?
Amy PS- How many of you have spent an afternoon baking for your puppers and have to tell your significant other that there are no cookies for him or her? My poor DH has come to accept that the fur-kids usually eat better than he does...lol

I posted a recipie for apple-peanut butter cookies. You could easily omit the apples. They smell and look good enough for a human to eat! I've been tempted to try them - but I don't like trying new foods!
I made this recipie just before Christmas and the batch lasted me until February or march! It's time for me to make another!!

Amy, my Eskimo loves the Turkey and then the Caribou Northern Biscuits - well, frankly, if he doesn't like a cookie the store will reconsider re-ordering. I have avoided the Peanut Butter because he is a smooth operator - although I am sure that in cookie form it would not be the same as in a Kong. Does it leave Peanut Butter breath? I know they are wheat free which is important for this little girly guy. He could be the "face" of Northern Biscuits.

Hi Copper'sMom, I saw your recipe, but the apples made me wonder if they would be extra crunchy. That may sound weird but my puppers seem to really enjoy the cookies that are so hard you have a hard time snapping them in two wih\th your fingers :-) What kind of texture do your cookies have? Amy

Hi Snowdancer ,
My dogs are big fnas of Northern biscuits with the exception of the type with trout. It was the one treat that did not go over well in my household... of course my guy still ate them-- but didn't gobble them up like other brands. I haven't noticed PB breath... although I think I am immune-- DH eats PB at least once a day, every day. I think that's one of the reasons Riley & Dakota like PB flavoured cookies :-) Amy
