Dog walking in Calgary
Well, for all the folks in Calgary......here is our plan!!! On Sunday (Dec. 12) @ 11 am, we are meeting at River Park to walk our dogs (it is an off leash park).

River Park is South on Crowchild, turn east on 50th Ave. then follow that past the High School and Safety City, and the parking lot is at the end of that road.

Heeler's Rock (Pami) and myself (Chris) will be there waiting!!! She has 3 dogs, I have 1 (Brick) - we'll wait close to the parking lot!!!!

EVERYONE is welcome!! Hope to meet some new faces!!!

Oh my goodness! What a great idea Chris! This is such a terrific way to meet some pets.ca faces!!! YAY!!!!

Anyone wanting to come out on Sunday, please post here so we know how many people to wait for. It's gonna be a nice day out so the poochies will have a blast! Come on freyja, gazoo, lilpaws, sarahlynn, and all you other Calgarians out there!!! We're gonna have so much FUN!!!

Sounds like it will be a great day! Is there anything I should do/bring/buy for Sunday? Belle has never been off leash before but I would love for her to beable to!

Hey Sarah! I wouldn't worry about her being off leash. All of the dogs I have taken off leash stick quite close together and form a pack and follow eachother around. I'm sure Belle will be fine. Just bring yourself, Belle, and a leash to take her from the car to the park!! We're gonna have a great time!

Talking I am off call!!!
I am planning to be there. Lindy has been off leash a few times when there are other good dogs to play with. She will love it!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I'm sooooooooooooo excited!!!!! I'm bringing my camera!!!! LOL

What kind of dog is Belle? Just bring yourself, your dog, a leash and some treats - and POO bags!!! LOL

P.S. I wish all our eastern friends could join us too :sad: !!! Maybe one day we'll meet in the middle....LOL Winnipeg anyone???

Belle is a 6 year old Cockerspaniel X. Ive only had her for a couple months, Im sure she will have sooo much fun.

What a fun day!! Eventful none the less, but fun!! And it was really cool to put faces to names (people and doggies!!) Here are a few pics I took! They aren't even that good!! :sad: I didn't take as many as I wanted to, next time!! Was too preoccupied with all the dogs!!!

Next Sunday, same place, same time!!!!

P.S. Lindy - Brick says for hurting your leg and I hope you're feeling better!!!

I have to admit, it was a lot of fun!! It was great meeting you Jane! I already know you Chris, and you too Sarah!!

I have some sad news though....we won't be able to make it out this weekend! It's my mother-in-law's b-day on Sunday so we're going to church with them, and they're coming over to my house on Saturday for some lunch so that day is out for me too....I'm really sorry! I forgot and Carlos just reminded me. I hope you all still have a good time, and if I can make it, I'll definitely be there!!!!!

Excellent!! I'm still waiting to hear from Jane, but I'm thinking I might need to change the time to 10 am instead. I have to be out in Airdrie for 2:00, and I don't want to rush a good walk!! Does 10 work for you and Belle?? And gazoo, are you going to join us this time? ANyone else in Calgary????? Come on, it was FUN!!!!!

Hey there everyone!!!
I have had a busy week so far, but thought I would drop a line.
Chris, Lindy is fine, no problems. I have been laughing all week. What a time that was!!! Lindy certainly had fun running about!!! Guess we have more work to do before we can really enjoy the "Off Leash" part of the park.

It was really nice to meet everyone.

I can't make it this weekend unfortunately! It is Cailleigh's birthday on Sunday and the kids are dancing both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Ps, Cailleigh says Hi!!!

Oh I wish I would have met you guys sooner! We live way out in Tuscany but love that dog park! If you ever have one on my side of the city for sure count us in! Sorry I have a dog named Kohl. He is a lovable Doberman!
