Would like to put my foot in my mouth right now

Back in the days where I was all about feeding, foods, and ingredients my biggest arguement (and many others as well) was "you dont see wolves or dogs raiding corn fields"...
Then this morning, Kita and Meiko were caught in none other than my corn field grabbing a morning snack. I ran in to get the camera however they heard the door and came running back to the house.
So... that arguement is now out the window lol
Elmo has also taken a few helpings of the cobs that we had husked and put on the picnic table, I just thought that was an opportunity thing.
Either I have the weirdest dogs, or they have evolved to aquiring a taste for corn
I will still stand firm that they dont need it in their diets, and will continue to use "you dont see wolves or dogs raiding grain fields" in defense of it not being needed in their diet either, our guys didnt grab a snack of the neighbours grain this year so its still legit

Gracie and Heidi will eat anything that even remotely ressembles something edible...from cat poop to corn cobs and everything in between! They don't understand what they're "supposed" to eat either Jaida, however, is a more sensible "meatitarian"...she turns up her nose at grains in all forms and will only nibble on a few choice veggies and fruits when they're offered (although very often does so with a wrinkled nose, to express her distaste ).

Dogs just love to make us seem foolish.

I don't know what's got into my old male cattle dog but Perkins has a craving for my lemon scented geraniums at the back porch. He's been caught twice, the first time just biting bits off and dropping them, but today actually eating big mouthfuls. Hard to tell whether he's crazy or senile.

Did they eat corn filled food when they were younger? I find cats don't forget the smell of their previous foods.

LOL ....too funny, Erykah.

Just make sure they don't eat the cobs as well to be on the safe side.

When I eat corn on the cob Dracko gets his own. He holds it upright in his front paws and eats the kernels. He's done it for years. If he doesn't get his own he'll steal my eaten one after I'm done with it and proceed to lick/suck it like crazy.
