first time here!!!!

hi my name is lexy and i stumbled across this web site seeking training tips for my puppy. I was a total cat lover that decided to enlarge the family and get a new puppy. i have two 7 year old cats Pheobe the calico and Amos the big orange tabby. now new to the family is Zoe and she is a mix of chow/shepard and WHAT A HANDFUL!!!!!! so i hear this is the place for animal lovers and i hope to meet a bunch and maybe get some advice for the new dog owner.

my two cats have been more than hospitable to the new puppy. there have been a few swats but they have never used their claws. i was sure to also include the cats in the "order of the pack" when i brought the dog home. i eat, the cats eat and then the dog eats. the cats actually tease the dog on the stairs....they come right down in front of her and groom without a care in the world. it is too funny when we play fetch because zoe will offer the ball or toy to the cat and sit there tail wagging while the cat sits there with that you have got to be kidding me look on their faces. even at night when the cats are up and at play zoe doesn't bark or whine....just snores away. zoe just turned eight months old and the reason for being a handful is the ENERGY!!!! i have been a cat owner for most of my life and they actually let u have a cup of coffee when u wake up....not so with zoe it is always bounce bounce bounce. it is a total different experience but i wouldn't trade it for the world. big brown eyes filled with love all day and then the warm cuddly cats when u just want to sit around......i have got it made oh and in being a new member i don't know how to add a picture could u help me out

Hi,

Click the FAQ link above for a description on how to post and add pics....and Welcome!

Actually here is the info from that link I was talking about.

To add images to your messages, in the same window where you type your message if you scroll down, you will see "manage attachments". Click on this button and then click "browse" to locate the file from your computer. When you've chosen a picture click on"upload". You'll get a prompt confirming your file selection. Then click "close window" and then click the "Submit" button. If all was well with your file size and type (gif or jpg) you should actually see your post with your image.

You must note that there are limits to how large the file can be (usually 100k) and if your file is too large you have to resize it (make it smaller). You need a graphics program to do this and many computers come pre-loaded with graphics programs. If you need one though, you can get a free one at irfanview.com

Welcome to the site! I'm not sure about the pic problem... the size seems ok.. is it jpg format? I've been unable to load a bmp image here.

Looking forward to seeing your photos.
