Inducing labor in cats

My cat had her water break yesterday morning, she still has not gone into labor, it has now been about 30 hours, I can still feel lots of movement in her belly and she does not appear unwell at all but I am very concerned about her. She is still purring and wants her belly rubbed often. I would like to know if there is any way I can induce labor, I've tried massaging her belly but it doesn't seem to be working. My vet says she needs to either have a c-section or be euthanised. Neither option sits well with me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have been told that maybe her membrane healed and she is reproducing water, I know this is possible in humans but is it possible in felines?
