Hello
Hi everyone I am new to small breeds, someone gave me a shih tzu/poodle mix and I bought his brother as company. I know they are mutts, but they are really cute. I have no desire to breed them. Nutmeg and Ginger were born on February 28, came to me end of April, have had all shots. Weight: 6 and 6.5 lbs. Going for second visit to the groomer tomorrow, have home bath every two weeks. No obedience classes are available for small breeds here either. (I am in Jamaica) There are not a lot of commercial food options available here, so I give them beef/chicken mince cooked with eggs (shell as well) and some pedigree puppy food plus a tablespoon of natural yogurt every day. They are confined to a crate at night and when no one is able to supervise them. Settling down from jumping and biting, about 90% use of paper for elimination. They will sit on command, but not for long. Any tips/advice is welcome, and as I get experience, I will share. Last edited by gingernutmeg; May 30th, 2007 at 06:55 PM. |
