The Catmen of Great Meadow Correctional Facility , that sound like a good movie. That is so sweet the inmates are caring the kittens.

I think pet programs in prisons could be a really good thing - I'm sure it already exists somewhere.

My hearing dog Finlay was trained by an inmate . There a program for inmates to work with dogs that are being trained for service dogs and I met the inmate that trained my dog. He told me that he felt that he was giving back to society by training my dog and that he missed my dog . There are programs in women jails too , I think dogs help the inmate as much or more in these training programs. I met the inmate while he was still minimum jail .

Marko, we have a prison out here in the lower mainland of Vancouver that has a pet program. The inmates do training, and they also run a boarding facility. I haven't ever boarded my dogs there, but I have heard good things about it.
Can't recall the name of the prison, I would have to look that up.
